SPECIAL FEATURE

REZZ’s whimsically mystical song “Flying Octopus” was in need of an “emergency” animated music video. The label had a very limited budget and tight timeline, but needed to premiere the final video in time for REZZ’s new album drop.

I was hired to write a concept for the video, bring an animation team onboard, and co-direct the piece, ensuring that the final product was a memorable experience.

BOOK OF DISTANCE

As an interactive room-scale VR experience, Book of Distance charts the journey of writer/creator Randall Okita’s grandfather as he immigrates to Canada, and then Randall’s own voyage to discover long-lost familial connections at home and abroad.

EBOLA OUTBREAK

Developed in partnership with PBS Frontline and Columbia University's Tow Center for Digital Journalism, Ebola Outbreak is a VR experience featuring footage taken on location in West Africa, and attempts to demonstrate the sheer scale of the pandemic.

PROJECT LITERACY

The Lives Unseen is an educational VR campaign to inspire empathy for the struggles of people with illiteracy. Convened by Pearson and developed in collaboration with IDEO, the installation premiered at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland.

BMO WISHING FOUNTAIN

The flip-dot installation was integrated seamlessly with a mobile app, allowing visitors to “swipe” their digital coins off their phones and watch as their impact transformed the physical fountain, driving up donations for this bicentennial charity event.

GROJBAND

Grojband: The Show Must Go On! is an web-based game & competition that allows kids to show off their creativity by creating animated “Wicked Cool Transitions” like the ones on the show–with the chance to be shown on-air during the series’ broadcast.

With the launch of the ever-popular franchise in Canada, Insight Productions and Shaw Media hired us to create a second screen destination that engaged the fanbase like no other Big Brother digital initiative had done before—anywhere in the world!

SPEAX: FIRST DAY IN PARIS

Speax is a language learning app for iOS devices. Designed to facilitate language learning through story, First Day in Paris takes the user on a virtual trip where they converse with locals in French in a natural setting.

THE GREAT MARTIAN WAR

A cinematic "endless runner" built for iOS in collaboration with History Channel Canada & UK, Entertainment One and Impossible Pictures. The game featured the characters, events, and locations from the alternate history series in an original game and story.

MY BABYSITTER’S A VAMPIRE

An arcade-style mobile game created to promote Season 2 of the Disney XD/Teletoon show. The CG fighter used photogrammetry to capture the actors and create realistic models and textures of their characters with motion captured moves.
